Simon Dolan is an incredible author, speaker, and professor. His expertise in human resources and organizational management puts him among the greatest thought leaders in those fields today.
Part of Dr. Dolan’s impact stems from his prolific writing career; he has authored more than 70 books in several languages. These books range from professional and self-help books to textbooks and even children’s books, but they all deal with important questions of how to positively influence people.
Dr. Dolan cares deeply about how we lead and influence people, and he believes the most effective way to do so is by using core values to shift culture, change behavior, and develop people. As a result, his academic research centers around values, and his studies have led him to the Managing by Values, Coaching by Values, and Leadership by Values concepts.
Programs
Since establishing his theories surrounding the importance of values in work and organizational behavior, Dr. Dolan has been sharing his research and knowledge across the globe as a speaker and teacher. He has also established programs to train and certify coaches in the Coaching by Values style throughout the world. A few of the places you can find the program in action include Spain, Latin America, Italy, Germany, France, parts of Africa, and Singapore.
In addition to his research and work on values, Dr. Dolan cofounded the Global Future of Work (GFOW) Foundation. The foundation aims to prepare workplace stakeholders for the changes that are coming to the workforce, including increased globalization and the ever-changing role of digital technologies in the workplace. Its plan is threefold: to develop effective methodologies and concepts that will benefit the future workforce, to create a network where these methodologies and concepts can be cultivated, and to disseminate this information to create “a better world of work.”

In all of his endeavors, Dr. Dolan ensures that his work is accessible to anyone who wants to learn and understand it. For example, the GFOW Foundation has strong collaborative ties to Asia, North and South America, and Europe. Among Dr. Dolan’s writings you will find books in a stunning array of languages: Spanish, French, Hebrew, Polish, German, Irani, Chinese, and Russian, besides English. And when speaking, Dr. Dolan often shares his knowledge in his audience’s native tongue—he speaks English, French, Spanish, and Hebrew fluently.
Because of Dr. Dolan’s efforts to share his resources (be they books, lectures, tools, or just information) in other languages, those resources can have a much greater reach and impact than they would have if Dr. Dolan kept his work in a primarily English market. The international availability of his work has empowered people across the world with effective tools of leadership and management.
